Itinerary of the 8-  day trip from Agadir to Marrakech:

 Day 1: Arrival in Agadir – Taroudant (83 km)

 

We will meet you at Agadir airport and then start the ” 8- day trip from Agadir ” toward Taroudant, nicknamed the grandmother of Marrakech. We will transfer you to your accommodation in the old medina, which is surrounded by great ramparts. Free time to discover the city. Dinner at the Riad.

Day 2: Taroudant – agdz (276 km)

 

After breakfast, we begin the journey to the capital of Alsafran in Morocco. Taliouine, which is known for Safran. It is the most expensive spice in the world. Morocco produces about 3 tons per year. We can visit a cooperative to get information about Safran. We will continue our way to the village of Taznakht, where most of the carpet cooperatives are located. Finally, we will head to the Draa Valley which is full of dates, where we will have free time to stroll through the palm fields in the area.

 

 

Day 3: Agdz – Merzouga Desert – night in Berber tent (299 km)

 

After breakfast, we will depart to the Draa Valley, where you will see one of the longest rivers in Morocco. On the way, we make some stops to take pictures and enjoy the view of the spectacular kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the road, as well as the beauties of the Draa Valley. You will have some free time for lunch in Nkob or Alnif, and then, after a two-hour drive, we will arrive at the wonderful dunes of Merzouga. “Desert of dusty dunes”.

we will enter the dunes by Camel to find our camp. When we arrive at the camp, we settle in the tents, which are tents made of camel hair, like those used by nomadic families. Dinner and night in the Berber tent under a beautiful starry sky.

 

 

Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades (271 km)

 

“Appointment with the sunrise” If you are in the middle of the desert, it is essential to get up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you’ve ever seen on top of a dune near the camp and enjoy this landscape that is a gift of nature. Then we return to Merzouga on camels where a comforting breakfast awaits us.

We leave the desert after breakfast to go to Rissani where we will visit the market (market days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), then we continue to Erfoud where we can visit the fossilized marble manufacturers before starting our way to Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves.

An hour later we arrive at one of the best places in the High Atlas, the Todra Gorges. The course of the river has carved the canyon of the cliff and is very popular with climbers because of its beauty and the high sides of the rocks. Free time for lunch in this wonderful place. A walk through the gorges is highly recommended to better appreciate the beauty of the landscape.

In the afternoon we continue to the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs passing through Boumalne Dades, we will stop at the “monkey’s paws”. Dinner and overnight in the Dades Gorges:

Day 5: The Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – 3 hours Hiking in Dades Valley- Ouarzazate (90 km).

 

After breakfast, we can enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley from a strategic viewpoint in the mountains, from there we can appreciate a large number of kasbahs and the scenic features of each. Then we continue along a road point with different kasbahs of tourist interest. After a few stops enjoy the “road of a thousand kasbahs”, the Valley of the Roses, and the great palm grove of Skoura. Finally, we will arrive in Ouarzazate.

 

 

Day 6: – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech (200 km)

 

After breakfast, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former residence of Glaoui or Pasha of Marrakech. And if you are interested, we can visit the film studios and the cinema museum. Free time for lunch in the city. In the afternoon we start our way to Marrakech passing by the Kasbah of Atiben Haddou, where many international movies have been shot, for example, The Mummy, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones.

Afterward, we will cross the mountain pass of Tizi N’Tichka with some stops to take pictures. Here we leave behind the lunar landscape to reach another colorful view. Arrive in Marrakech around 6 p.m., transfer to the hotel, and evening to enjoy the medina of Marrakech.

 

Day 7: Marrakech – guided tour with a local guide.

 

Today, you will meet your local guide at your Riad and then start your city tour from the Kotobia Mosque, which was built in the 12th century by the Almohads, then walk to the Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa and the Bahia Palace, which was the most impressive and largest palace at that time, then continue your walking tour inside the alleys of the Medina to enjoy the taste of the souk. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will meet your driver to take you to the Majorelle Gardens, located in the new part. Afternoon at leisure to stroll around the most famous and crowded square in Morocco

Day 8: Transfer to the airport.
