Tours in Morocco offers a “12-day tour from Marrakech”, which is a complete and interesting tour to uncover the real Morocco which compromises the imperial cities that were once the Capital of Morocco, including Marrakech, Rabat( the current capital), Meknes, and Fes, The coast, where Portuguese used to conquer such as Essaouira, Mazagan and Casablanca, then Sahara desert, where a group of Nomads lives and Atlas mountains, which is the longest mountains in Africa.
Itinerary of 12 days from Marrakech to Coastal cities, Imperial cities, and the Sahara desert:
Day 1: Marrakech Airport- transfer to the Medina.
We will greet you at the Menara airport in Marrakech, then start our “Tours in Morocco” towards the old Medina of Marrakech, where you will check in for your accommodation, and you will have free time to discover Jamaa El Fna square, which is located nearby.
Day 2: Marrakech City Tour.
After breakfast, you will meet a local guide in your Hotel/Riad and start exploring the sights of Marrakech, including Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa, Jamaa El Fnaa Square, Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Gardens. Free afternoon and night in Marrakech.
Day 3: Marrakech- Essaouira coastal town. (191 km)
After breakfast, we will depart to Essaouira, which is a coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. On the way, we will have an opportunity to see goats climbing Argan trees, which are rare trees that grow naturally in Morocco. Also, we may stop to visit a Feminine Cooperative to see the process that Berber Women use to extract oil from Argan nuts. Afterward, we will drive to Essaouira, which the Portuguese controlled in the 15th Century, where you will have free time to explore its magnificent Medina, which is full of handicrafts. Also, it’s a harbor and beach. The night will be in a hotel or Riad.
Day 4: Essaouira- El Jadida- Casablanca. (377 km)
After breakfast, we will drive along the coast till we arrive at Al Jadida, which is another coastal city, where we will visit the old Portuguese water tank (cistern) and then end the day in Casablanca, which is the biggest city in Morocco and the third in Africa.
Day 5: Casablanca-Rabat- Meknes- Fes. ( 295 km)
After breakfast, we will visit one of the Largest Mosques in the world, “Hassan’s Second Mosque.” Then Continue to Rabat, which is the capital of Morocco. In this city, you will visit the Hassan Tower, the royal palace, and the Oudaya Kasbah. Then continue to Meknes, which was founded in the 15th century by Molay Ismail, there where you will see the following sights: Bab Mansour, El Hadim Square, Royal Palace, and Sehrij tank. Finally, we will head to Fes, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Fes.

You’ll start your journey with a local guide who will show you all the historical monuments, including the royal palace gate, Madrasas ( Quranic schools ), Bounania and Attarin, Souks, and the Quarawayne University, which is the first university in the world. Also, you will see Mosaic Place and the whole Medina from Borj South.
Day 7: Fes to Merzouga Desert Via Midelt. ( 461 km)
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your Riad and drive toward the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by Ifrane, where you will see different architecture from other Moroccan cities, it is nicknamed the Switzerland of Morocco. Afterward, we will continue to the biggest Cedar forest in Africa, where you will see Barbary apes. After having lunch in Midelt, we will drive to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm trees. Finally, we will arrive at Merzouga, where you will ride camels to the camp and spend the night under a starry sky.
Day 8: Merzouga Erg Chebbi Tour.
After waking up to enjoy the sunrise on the top of a dune near the camp, you’ll go back to the hotel on camels and have breakfast and shower. Then, we will drive around the dunes via the oasis of Merzouga, the nomadic depository (where we will discover how the nomads live and share a cup of tea with them), and then leave for Rissani. Once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans coming from Tombouctou in Mali. As it is surrounded by more than one hundred villages, everyone goes there for shopping. After visiting that local market, we will drive back to Merzouga, especially to Khamlia village, originally inhabited by black people, where we will have lunch and listen to their music. The night in the hotel.
Day 9: Merzouga –Todra Gorge- Dades Valley- Ouarzazate. (366 km)
After breakfast, we will drive to Erfoud, which is the capital of fossils. There where, you will visit a fossil cooperative to discover different fossils that are found in that area, such as Trilobites, Ammonites… Afterward, we will head to Todra Valley and Todra Gorge, which is a national park for rock climbing, there, you will have free time to walk inside that gorge before we depart to Dades Valley and Rose’s Valley, where they organize a big festival celebrating roses. Finally, we will head to Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night.
Day 10: Ouarzazate-Ait Ben Haddou-Marrakech. (200 km)
Leaving the hotel in the morning, we may visit cinema studios where many films are shot. Afterward, we will drive to one of the oldest Kasbahs in Morocco which is Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where so many international films have been shot, such as Gladiator, The Mummy, and the Kingdom of Heaven… After visiting that UNESCO World Heritage, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco, Tizi N’Tichka, 2260m high, offering impressive views of valleys, mountains, and many Berber villages nearby. Day 11: Marrakech free day.
Free day in Marrakech. Today, you may do a cooking class in Medina or do an excursion to Ourika Valley. Tours in Morocco.
