Merzouga Desert Itinerary 1 Day Quad Biking/Motorcycling Excursion

A one-day quad biking/motorcycling day trip through the Merzouga Desert.

Meet at the quad bike Office in Merzouga at 9 a.m.

You will get a quick safety briefing and a little lesson on how to use the quads.

Get Protection: Helmet, Strap in and Go!

They offer a ride along the trial that helps you get to know your quad.

Leave from Merzouga and start your journey across the big desert.

Cross the smaller dunes on your way to the more sophisticated leaning eastern Erg Chebbi dunes, up to 150 meters high.

Thrill and excitement will course through you as you ride the golden dunes on your way into strange desert landscapes.

Visit to a Nomadic family in the middle of the Merzouga Desert.

Ride through the desert to get to a traditional nomadic family that has lived in the Sahara Desert for decades.
Learn about the local Berber culture and way of life, which have been passed down through centuries.

We will get the opportunity to meet Nomads in their tents, drink a cup of mint tea, and learn about how they live there. In addition, we will attentively listen to their desert stories.

Midday: Lunch break and relaxation.
12:30 PM: Picnic Lunch in the Desert.

Enjoy a casual picnic-style meal in the shade of a palm grove, Acacia tree, or a Desert tent.
Enjoy a traditional Tagine or Berber Pizza, and fruit.
Take some time to relax and take in the serene desert scenery before returning to your quad bike.

Visit the oasis of Tiserdime and Khamlia Village:

We will get the opportunity to visit Khamlia, an intriguing settlement in the Merzouga region populated by black people whose ancestors were transported as slaves over the camel caravan route. We will see a performance of their music and have a cup of mint tea.

Following that, we will travel to the Tiserdmine Oasis, which is located in the center of Merzouga’s Shara desert.

4:00 PM – Return to Erg Chebbi for sunset.

Return to the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you’ll get the opportunity to witness one of the desert’s most spectacular sights: sunset over the dunes.
Climb one of the tallest dunes and take in the breathtaking views as the sun sets below the horizon, throwing a golden light across the area.

Evening: Return to Merzouga.
5:30 PM: Return to Merzouga.

When you arrive, hand up your quad bikes and belongings and reflect on the amazing day you had.
6:00 PM – End of the adventure.

Complete your quad riding journey. If you’re staying in Merzouga, relax and have a classic Moroccan meal. Alternatively, you might leave for your next destination.
